About the Event
37th Annual Student Conference
The Cold Regions Research Centre (CRRC) is hosting its 37th student annual conference on January 29th to 31st, 2025.
We are excited to invite students from all research stages and early career researchers to share their research. Presentations will include oral presentations, poster presentations, and 3-minute higlight talks.
The CRRC student conference also consists of a Keynote, a Panel session, a field training workshop, and a social event.
Program At A Glance
Arctic lakes and ponds are passing critical ecological thresholds induced by climate warming: A paleoenvironmental assessment
Fieldwork Workshop
Featured Sessions
Northern Ecosystems and Biology
Explore adaptations, climate impacts, and conservation strategies in Northern ecosystems, focusing on biological diversity and/or ecological dynamics under extreme environmental conditions.
Cryospheric Processes
Examine the dynamics of ice, snow, and permafrost, focusing on their roles in climate systems, ecological impacts, and the consequences of their changes in a warming world.
Resilience and Sustainability in Communities
Explore strategies for building resilient, sustainable communities, emphasizing climate adaptation, resource management, and integrating traditional knowledge with modern practices.
Hydrology and Water Quality
Focus on water cycle dynamics, water quality issues, and management strategies, highlighting the impacts of climate change and human activities on freshwater resources.
Remote Sensing and Modelling of Cold Regions
Explore advanced remote sensing techniques to monitor and analyze environmental changes, ice dynamics, and ecosystem processes in cold regions.
