On Saturday, April 19th, 2025, the Cold Regions Research Centre (CRRC) held its inaugural Aquatic Field Sampling Workshop at Waterloo Park. The event, which ran from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST, brought together CRRC Members from beyond eager to learn and practice hands-on aquatic field sampling techniques.
The workshop emphasized practical skills in aquatic sampling, field safety, and environmental monitoring. Participants of all experience levels were able to engage fully in the activities. Lunch was also provided, offering everyone a chance to relax, network, and discuss their experiences midway through the day.
The CRRC extends a heartfelt thank you to all who attended, supported, and helped organize the workshop. We are excited about the enthusiasm shown by the participants and look forward to hosting more hands-on training opportunities in the future!
